Cut To Length : Shear Full
A standard full shear is mostly referred to as just a shear. This shear is done at the gap between the knuckles and always makes the finished length be a multiple of the knuckle length itself. For example, with .50" knuckles, the length will always be something like 2.00", 4.50", 6.00" or 16.50". It will not be a measurement like 2.25" or 7.59" or anything that is not a multiple of .50".
Because the cutting blade is slicing through the hinge at the gap between the knuckles, there is minimal deformation of the barrel but there can still be a slight deformation on the metal because of the slicing cut.
